Jody P. King, MD
Internal Medicine, Primary CareJody P. King, MD, FACP is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Macon & Joan Brock VIrginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University.
Dr. King completed her medical school and residency training at EVMS and has been faculty since 2012, following her Chief Resident year. Her interests lie in resident education, point-of-care ultrasound and simulation-based training. She was named a Top Doctor in Coastal Virginia Magazine and in Virginia Living Magazine and received the EVMS Rising Star Award and ACP Academic Teaching Award in 2016.
She is thoroughly involved in medical education and has been the Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program since 2012. She has also been co-directing a Multisystems Disease Module curriculum for second-year medical students since 2018.
Dr. King spends her days either supervising and training residents on the inpatient wards, supervising and training residents in ambulatory medicine, providing primary care to the citizens of Hampton Roads or serving on various institutional committees.

When she is not in the office or in the hospital, Dr. King enjoys spending time with her husband Stephen, and their three children.
