Emily R. Cunningham, MD

Dr. Emily Cunningham, MD, is an Instructor in the Division of General Internal Medicine at EVMS. She also completed her Internal Medicine residency at EVMS, showcasing her dedication to advancing her medical knowledge and skills.

Her scholarly contributions include peer-reviewed publications on topics ranging from the effectiveness of procalcitonin in detecting lower respiratory tract infections to the impact of bariatric surgery on diabetes.

Chinelo C. Okigbo, MD, PhD

After her medical training in Nigeria, Assistant Professor Dr. Okigbo moved to the U.S. to train in Public Health at UNC Chapel Hill where she earned her MPH and PhD focusing on population-based research using using epidemiological methods with a focus on reducing global maternal mortality. Her broad research interest is in health outcomes research; more specifically, the interplay between endocrinology and women’s health.
